100th anniversary of the birth of Roald Dahl

Roald Dahl (1916-1990), whose books have sold more than 200 million copies all over the world, would have turned 100 last September.

This British author wrote novels, shorts stories, poems and screenplays, and he is probably best remembered for being the 'father' of charming and unconventional characters such as Matilda, Willy Wonka and the BFG (the Big Friendly Giant). He has been described as "a master of story construction with a remarkable ability to weave a tale".

At the EOI library we would like to pay our little tribute to this exceptional story-teller with an exhibition of some of his most popular books. We invite you to visit it and read his books and stories because
A little magic can take you a long way (James and the Giant Peach)
